Prairie 650 700 - KEBC motor reset Author: nyroc Modified: 2005-02-28 20:58:00 If you turned the key on with the cvt cover off and the KEBC motor spooled out follow these intstructions. Thanks, Northarkie for the tech tip. 1)Unplug wiring harness to KEBC actuator(make sure cover is OFF) 2)find where hot(red) and not(black) wires go into harness(on KEBC actuator end). 3) using some 2-3` pieces of wire, rig the KEBC motor`s red wire to pos(+) terminal on battery, and black to neg(-) on battery. This will make actuator move. 4)when it looks like the actuator is moved as far BACK away(in relation to primary clutch) as possible, unhook wires. 5)turn key off, making sure the switch on the clutch cover is ON, and re-install clutch cover. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note: Dirtywhiteboy told me that he was able to just remove the motor cap and twist the motor until the KEBC lever goes back. It can take many twists. I had to do this myself. I don`t remember which way it goes. What I did was twist it both ways while counting turns. I basically turned the motor in the direction that it could be turned more turns (that way I know I moved it to the oposite position). That placed it in the right position to start working. I disassembled mine and lubed it, now it works as good as new.
